This notice explains what personal data we process when you visit this website or send us an email.
Scope
This notice applies to the website hygno.com and to emails you send us. HygnoShield has a privacy notice of its own, which you will find at hygnoshield.com.
Controller
The controller for the processing of personal data in connection with this website and with emails sent to us is Hygno GmbH, Holzgassa 40, 1715 Alterswil FR, Switzerland. Please send any questions about data protection to privacy@hygno.com.
No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies and does not embed any analytics or tracking services. It has no contact form. All content is loaded directly from hygno.com. The link to hygnoshield.com is a plain hyperlink; this website loads no content from there.
Hosting and email
We use Infomaniak Network SA, Geneva, to host the website and to provide our email service. Infomaniak processes the data involved on our behalf as our processor and stores it in Switzerland. We do not forward emails sent to us to mailboxes or services of other providers. For certain services, such as spam filtering, Infomaniak may use sub-processors. Where data is processed outside Switzerland as a result, our contract with Infomaniak allows this only in EU or EEA countries, that is, countries with an adequate level of data protection. Apart from this, we do not disclose personal data to recipients abroad.
Server logs
Each time a page is requested, the web server records technical details in a log: the IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the amount of data transferred, the referring page (if your browser sends it) and details of the browser and operating system.
These details are needed to deliver the website, to find errors and to protect the site against misuse. We do not use them to build profiles, and we examine them only in individual cases where misuse is suspected.
Infomaniak keeps the logs for a limited time only and then deletes them.
When you send us an email, we process the details you give us in order to answer your enquiry. We keep emails for as long as is necessary for this purpose or as the law requires.
Ordinary email is not end-to-end encrypted. Please therefore do not send us health data or patient documents by email – not even as an example or for testing.
Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell personal data. The only recipients are Infomaniak Network SA, which hosts the website and provides the email service for us, the sub-processors it engages (see ‘Hosting and email’), and public authorities where we are legally obliged to disclose data or where this is necessary to stop or report misuse.
Your rights under the FADP
Under the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), you can ask whether we process personal data about you and, if so, what data. You can ask us to correct inaccurate data and to delete data, unless we are legally required to keep it. You can also ask us to provide the personal data you have given us in a commonly used electronic format, where the legal requirements are met. You can also object to the processing of your data.
Please send your request to privacy@hygno.com. To make sure that no data reaches unauthorised persons, we may ask you to prove your identity.
